In 1991, Williams Yindi climbed Prayer Mountain in Tanzania, seeking God's guidance for his life. As he knelt to pray at the peak, a man named Charles approached and shared that he, too, had come to the mountain for the same purpose. After five days of fasting and prayer, God gave Williams and Charles a shared vision to establish Unreached People’s Mission (UPM).
More than 30 years later, Williams and his wife Naomi continue their mission to spread the gospel to the villages of central Tanzania. Their ministry now supports over 150 full-time missionaries and plays a vital role in training church-planting pastors who are sent to villages across the region.
